Math Mammoth Decimals 2 Worktext

A self-teaching worktext for grade 5 math. It includes both the instruction (written directly to the student) and a variety of exercises and word problems in the same book. Its content matches fifth grade standards, but the book is useful for anyone who needs to learn these topics and who has the sufficient foundation (of approximately 4th grade math).

The book covers decimal place value and the four operations with decimals. Topics include decimals on a number line, mental math, adding and subtracting in columns, comparing and rounding decimals, multiplying and dividing decimals by whole numbers, and multiplication and division of decimals. The book also introduces concepts such as multiplying and dividing decimals by powers of ten, converting between metric units of measurement, and converting between customary units of measurement.
